San Lorenzo Water Supply Project Invested and Run by CGGC

As a backbone enterprise of Energy China, a Fortune Global 500 company, CGGC made its presence in Brazil in 2013 and established CGGC Brazil Company Limited there. In May 2018, CGGC successfully acquired 100% equity in San Lorenzo Water Supply Project, setting foot in water investment sector in South America and laying a solid foundation for further deepening of the South American market. Located in Ibiúna City in southwestern Sao Paulo State, the Project has designed daily water supply capacity of 410,000t that can satisfy the water supply needs of nearly 2 million residents nearby. After M&A, Energy China and CGGC leveraged great support to the Project in terms of capital, technology and management, accelerating the advance completion and ensuring stable operation of the Project. With these great achievements, Energy China and CGGC won great recognition from all sectors in Brazil.

As President Xi Jinping noted in his congratulatory message, China and Brazil are currently in a critical period of national development, with great potential and broad prospects for cooperation. CGGC is willing to proactively explore opportunities in such fields as water, environmental protection and new energy in Brazil under the framework of cooperation between the two governments, so as to push the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Brazil to a higher level and benefit the society.
