Construction Subcontract for 200MW Dual-fuel Power Station in Cambodia Signed

On August 23, the Contract for Construction and Installation Project and Auxiliary Equipment Procurement of 200MW Dual-fuel Power Station Project in Cambodia was successfully signed by Liu Fei, General Manager of CGGC-UN Power Co., Ltd. and Wang Cheng, Deputy General Manager of Anhui No. 2 Electrical Power Construction Co., Ltd. at the Beijing headquarters of CGGC International, under the witness of Lyu Zexiang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of CGGC International, Yao Minghui, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of CGGC Equipment Industry Co., Ltd., and Liu Hua, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of Anhui No. 2 Electrical Power Construction Co., Ltd.

On June 11, 2019, CGGC International and CGGC-UN Power Co., Ltd. signed a turnkey contract with the owner Electricite Du Cambodge (EDC) as a consortium. The signing of the construction subcontract with Anhui No. 2 Electrical Power Construction Co., Ltd. vividly represents CGGC’s strategic vision to practice the concept of coordinated operation and achieve the high-quality sustainable development by promoting the coordinated operation with other member companies of Energy China in investment, construction and operation of projects in the power and other non-power fields, and is also an important initiative of CGGC International to further develop its thermal power business.

As a platform for international businesses of Energy China and CGGC, CGGC International always proactively practices the guidelines and requirements of Energy China and CGGC on coordinated cooperation, gives full play to its advantages in branding, management, resource integration, investment and financing, keeps researching and exploring new modes for coordinated operation, and spares no effort to promote the joint development, joint management and in-depth coordination with other member companies of CGGC, effectively ensuring the stable and rapid development of its international businesses. The contracts signed for thermal power, wind power, power transmission and transformation, as well as new energy projects now amount to over USD 10 billion.

Before the signing ceremony, relevant teams of the parties had in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation and reached consensus to take this opportunity to further explore new ways and methods of innovative cooperative management, intensify cooperation and make the project a model for Chinese enterprises to implement projects in Cambodia, thus opening a new chapter for Energy China to seek high-quality development via internal collaboration.
